WHERE IS YOUR FAIRY? EVERYONE HAS ONE.
Photofaeries founder Giselle Peters is a mother of three and lives in Australia.
Ever since she was a little girl, her mother told her stories of fairies and angels.
She searched for them tirelessly, and still to this day believes.
Why does she believe?
Because the fairies gave her three beautiful daughters. Because she started to realize we all have a little bit of fairy magic inside of us. That magic can carry us through the difficult times. When you start to really LOOK for the fairies in people, it’s amazing what you start to see.
When her girls were small, Giselle wanted to capture that magical innocence and imagination of childhood by creating portraits of the kids as real fairies – with real fairy, angel and butterfly wings. The idea was to combine the fairytale magic of childhood with the idea of a beautiful image you could and would want to hang on your wall.
An image which captures the essence and magic of childhood, and tells a story that itself sparks the imagination.
Imagine her surprise when friends, school mums and friends of friends started asking her to make photos of their kids too……She loved the beautiful ANNE GEDDES imagery and didn’t just want to buy it – she wanted her kids in those pictures, so she decided to learn how.
Imagine her surprise when the tiny ad, all she could scrape together at the time, she put in the paper actually got phone calls.
Finally, Giselle has realized this fairy magic should be shared. Reluctantly, she has decided after ten years to divulge the secrets she discovered and perfected to make “perfect fairy and angel images”.
WHY?
So even more people can enjoy the magic of photofaeries.
